Gulf Air has revealed a new addition to its 2020 network with a popular premium leisure destination: Nice on the Cote d’azur in France, commencing from July. The path will operate flights twice a week using an Airbus 321neo aircraft. The announcement was made during the 2020 Kuwait Aviation Conference, in which Gulf Air took part.
On this announcement of expansion and road, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gulf Air, Zayed R. Alzayani, said: “It is very exciting for the national carrier of Bahrain to reach more places and connect multiple cities in the east and west to its hub, Bahrain.”
He added: “On the west side of our network map, and coinciding with our expansion in Europe in the summer of 2020, we will be launching flights to Nice on the Cote d’azur as a luxury destination for our premium leisure travellers. When we welcome our next Airbus 321neo next year, we will be targeting our European routes with a brand new plane with flat beds and superior in-flight entertainment system for more enjoyable Gulf Air travel.
The airline’s network is tactically growing to improve the map of current destinations with feeder cities balanced from the east and west of the country. The airline recently announced plans to operate flights to Milan as a year-round destination, as well as to Mykonos and Munich as seasonal destinations–both beginning in the summer of 2020
