Gulf Air and Middle East Airlines link codeshare deal

Gulf airGulf Air, Bahrain‘s national carrier, has signed a codeshare agreement with Lebanon’s flag carrier Middle East Airlines-Air Liban. This deal will see Middle East Airlines on the Beirut-Bahrain-Beirut route putting their’ ME’ tag on Gulf Air flights.

Kresimir Kucko, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Air, said: “We are pleased to sign this codeshare with Middle East Airlines and offer direct regular service to their passengers on Gulf Air from Beirut to Bahrain. In our Middle East network, Beirut has always been a main route and we welcome this alliance with Lebanon’s flag carrier.

Mohamad El Hout, CEO of Middle East Airlines, added: This Gulf Air codeshare will complement the Gulf MEA network. We are pleased with this partnership with Gulf Air that will enable us to offer our loyal passengers a new destination through the Gulf Air network for Bahrain and many other destinations in Asia.

Gulf Air connects Bahrain and Lebanon with daily flights to Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport and more frequencies during high seasons such as summer.
