Bahrain‘s Gulf Air national carrier revealed a new addition to its 2020 network with a popular business and leisure destination–Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia‘s largest city and capital. Beginning with daily flights from July 2020, the route will be served by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flagship of the airline.
“This is very exciting for us at Gulf Air to enter additional locations and connect multiple cities in the East and West with our hub, Bahrain,” said Kresimir Kucko, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Air, on this expansion and route announcement. “We are pleased to start operations in Kuala Lumpur; a destination renowned for its leisure and business appeal.
The network of the airline is growing tactically and rapidly to improve the current scope by adding feeder cities to match traffic from the east and west of the kingdom. Complimented by a new fleet, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner primarily operates the long haul routes of Gulf Air. Gulf Air has initiated its fleet modernization plan with its premium business model announced earlier this year and has already purchased seven new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and five new Airbus 320neo.
